Ruthorn Rujianurak, born in 1994, is a Thai artist based in Bangkok. Best known for his work exploring the delicate interplay between background and foreground, he uses geometric forms to transform everyday scenes into spaces that challenge conventional perspectives.
Ruthorn’s work delves into the essence of childhood memories and the abstract spaces that emerge when attempting to recall them. His paintings evoke the hazy, fragmented process of memory retrieval, blending familiar elements with intangible forms to capture the fleeting nature of recollection.
In 2024, Ruthorn was chosen as one of Artsted’s 99 Future Blue Chip Artists, a prestigious recognition for emerging talents in the art world. Additionally, in 2022, he became a finalist in the 16th Edition of the Arte Laguna Prize, solidifying his position as a rising star in contemporary art.
